Reports directly to the Inventory Shop Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the Inventory Control Manager with inputting information into the control system as well as supporting the inventory shop.
- Preparing reports such as inventory balance and shortage lists.
- Maintains inventory control system, including daily cycle counts of inventory for all departments at National Roofing.
- Research all inventory-related discrepancies and make appropriate adjustments in the inventory system.
- Pulls, distributes, delivers, and organizes materials, tools, supplies, or stock items in shop and yard.
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and roof managers to ensure materials, tools, supplies, stock and roof/ground equipment are prepared/ordered/loaded as needed.
- Ensure a clean and safe warehouse/yard for staff to work in.
- Proper disposal of hazardous products from warehouse/yard.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience working with inventory control software as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with roofing materials a plus
- Be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials, tools, or supplies.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be extremely organized and have the ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Solicit, maintain, create, and foster relationships with other employees, vendors, etc.
- Positive work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
- Able to lift 100 lbs.
- At least 18 years old
- Must be able to pass a pre-hire criminal background check & drug screening.
